Sometimes, I even add raisins or chocolate chips, depending on when it's served. 3Medium ripe bananasThe more speckles the better!
1Stick of butter unsalted butter, room temperature1/2 cup
3/4Cupgranulated sugarOptional: using honey as a sweetener.
2Large eggs, room temperature
1 ½Cupsall-purpose flour
1Tspbaking soda
½Tspsalt
½Tspvanilla extract
1Cupwalnuts, this is optionalSet 2 tablespoons aside to sprinkle on the top.

Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease and flour a bread loaf pan. 2. Chop walnuts; roasting them in a skillet is optional.3. In a large mixing bowl, mash bananas. Then add butter, sugar, bananas, two eggs, and cream together. 4. Using the 2nd large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, vanilla, and salt.5. Add dry ingredients to the batter. Add walnuts to the combined batter, and set aside a few tablespoons of walnuts to sprinkle on the top.6 Pour into the prepared loaf pan and add a few tablespoons of walnuts to the top.7. Bake at 350˚F for 55-60 min or until a toothpick inserted into the center is clean.8. Optional: Sprinkle course salt to the top.9. Let banana bread cool for 15-20 minutes before slicing. coarse salt on
