The Best Tiramissu
This is the Best Tiramisu! It is so delicious and thank you Jamie Oliver for this recipe. It is our family favorite.

Instructions
- CAKE RECIPE
- 300g quality dark chocolate (70%)
- 100g unsalted butter
- 8 large free-range eggs
- 200g sugar
- 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
- TIRAMISU RECIPE
- 1 Cake (Instructions above)
- 150 ml strong coffee
- 500g ricotta cheese
- 500g mascarpone cheese
- 2 teaspoons vanilla bean paste
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- ½ an orange
- cocoa powder, for dusting
- 1. Preheat the oven to 350°F
- Break the chocolate into medium sized pieces. Then add the chocolate into a large heatproof bowl. Add the butter and melt over a pan of gently simmering water, stirring regularly and making sure the water doesn’t touch the base of the bowl, then leave to cool.
- Separate the eggs, putting the yolks into the bowl, add sugar. Whisk for 2 minutes, or until pale and fluffy, then stir in the melted chocolate.
- Whisk the egg whites and a pinch of sea salt in a separate bowl until stiff, using a mixer. Working in batches, gently fold them into the chocolate mixture, then sift and fold in the cocoa.
- Pour the cake batter directly into a greased or paper-lined baking dish, Bake for 15 minutes exactly. Remove from the oven.
- Make holes in the sponge cake with a skewer then evenly pour the coffee over the cake. Set cake aside to cool.
- 7, In a large bowl, mix the ricotta, mascarpone, vanilla paste and sugar, whisking until silky smooth, then spread over the cake.
- Finely grate over the orange zest, top with a dusting of cocoa powder, and you’re ready to serve!
