Homemade Banana Bread
Enjoy delicious homemade fresh banana bread with a cup of coffee or warm milk; this recipe will make your heart smile. 🙂 It is simple to make with very little prep time and a wonderful recipe with your kiddos—a great recipe to add to your collection.
Equipment
- 1 Bread pan 9x5
- 1 Electric mixer
Ingredients
- 3 Rip bananas (best when speckled)
- ½ Cup sugar
- 2+1/4 Cup flour
- 2 tsp Baking powder
- ¼ tsp Baking soda
- 2 tsp Vanilla extract
- 1 Stick of butter - room temperature
- Sprinkle of cinnamon for the top
- 1 egg
Instructions
- Preheat over to 350 degrees and butter pan. In a mixing bowl, cream sugar and butter. Save a little sugar for the top of the bread.
- Then add egg and smashed bananas.
- Using a separate bowl sift the flour.
- Add the remainder of the dry ingredients to the sifted flour.
- Combined all ingredients, do not over mix.
- Add mixture to baking pan, sprinkle cinnamon & sugar to the top.
- Bake at 350 degrees for about 1 hour. Insert a toothpick into the top of the bread. If clean, then it is ready.
- Transfer to a wire rack, and let cool before cutting into the bread. Enjoy!
