Homemade Chocolate Brownies - Gluten Free

The BEST simple brownie recipe! These delicious brownies have a rich chocolate flavor and a moist center; they could be your newest family favorite. Adding a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a glass of milk makes for one of the coziest baked goods.

Equipment

  • 1 9x9 Square Baking Pan
  • Parchment Paper
  • 2 Mixing Bowls
  • 1 Hand whisk
  • 1 Sause pan
  • 1 spatula

Ingredients

  • 2 Sticks of unsalted butter 1/2 lb
  • 2 + ½ Cups Semisweet chocolate chips 16 oz
  • 4 Large eggs
  • 1 Tbsp Vanilla extract
  • 1+1/4 Cups Granulated sugar
  • Cups King Arthur Gluten Free Flour
  • 1+1/2 Tsp Baking powder
  • ½ Tsp salt
  • 3 Tbsp Avocado oil
  • ½ Cup Unsweetened cocoa powder
  • Optional for serving - add walnuts and a little powdered sugar. 

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Butter pan, and line the bottom with parchment paper.
  • Using a saucepan, melt 2 sticks of butter and 1+1/2 chocolate chips. Set aside 1/2 cup of chocolate chips for later.
  • Stir ingredients until completely blended, do not boil; only let the mixture melt.
  • Set aside and let cool for 12 minutes. The mixture will need to be warm to combine easily with other ingredients.
  • Add eggs, sugar, oil, and vanilla extract to a large mixing bowl, and combine ingredients using a whisk. Then poor in the warm chocolate mixture and whisk until smooth.
  • Using a separate bowl, combine dry ingredients; flour, sugar, baking powder, cocoa powder, and salt. Whisk until thoroughly combined.
  • Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, and using a spatula, fold them together. It is best not to over-mix. Combine until completely smooth.
  • Pour into baking pan. Add the remainder of the chocolate chips to the top.
  • Place into the oven on the middle rack. Back 35-40 minutes. Once ready use a toothpick and poke the center, if tooth pick is clean, the brownies are ready.
  • Let the pan cool for 15 minutes before cutting.
  • Optional for serving - add walnuts and a little powdered sugar.
