Homemade Pancakes
Simple ingredients can make an excellent breakfast! This recipe can be customized to your taste buds; you can add chocolate chips, berries, or nuts. We love 100% real maple syrup, and I add a scoop of Greek yogurt; it adds a little protein and volume. Enjoy!
Servings: 4
Ingredients
Homemade Pancakes
2 tbsp of coconut sugar
2 tsp of baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 egg, beaten
1 cup milk
2 tablespoons avocado oil
1 cup of all-purpose flour
Instructions
1. Using a large mixing bowl, add flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.
2. Make a well in the center, and pour in milk, egg and oil.
3. Mix until combined and batter is a smooth texture.
4. Spray pan with avocado non-stick cooking spray. Heat pan on medium-high heat. Pour the batter onto the griddle, using approximately 1/4 cup for each pancake. Brown on both sides and serve.
Notes
- Add chocolate chips or nuts to batter for delicious ammines.
- If you are adding berries, add them to the batter once poured into the skillet.
- For a low-carb option, use almond flour or coconut flour; there will be less volume using these flours.
- 100% maple syrup is the richest, most favored, and healthiest.
